After what seems like months, Rising Tide will be available for purchase at book stores after April 28. Encourage all your friends to ask for it so stores will promote it. Lynn has a book signing this weekend at Fairmont Christian Church in Mechanicsville from 10-2. If you're in the area, stop by and get him to sign your book. He had one April 1 at Glen Allen Baptist Church in Glen Allen and sold 25 books there! Thanks to everyone who has bought one so far.

Rising Tide is now available to order through Amazon.com and online through bookstores like Barnes and Nobles as well as others. Lynn has had several book signing events over the past several months. He was interviewed by the public radio station last week and is scheduled for an interview with 99.1 on June 1. He has two book signing events coming up. One in Chesterfield Town Center at Barnes and Nobles on June 13 from 3-5 and another at Barnes and Nobles in Williamsburg on July 11. We hope to see you there.

Well the book has been out now for a few months. Those who have read it, really seem to enjoy it. I've managed to make contact with several wonderful people who have interviewed Lynn either by radio or television. Several of them are posted on this website and I am very thankful to each for their support and encouragement.
God has been very good to us and continues to meet our every need. Lynn is on the draft of book four in the series. I hope he will publish them all one day because the stories are great. If you liked the book, please spread the word and thank you for your interest.

As you have read on my website, Rising Tide is in the process of being printed and should be available in January or February. This is the first book I've written and I was fortunate enough to have it published by the first publishing company I contacted. I found the process of writing this book to be really interesting. I had always heard that the books write themselves and I found that to be true. I had the idea for the story line but found that as I wrote, the characters directed the action. It was amazing to see where the story went and kept me excited about how it was all coming together. In fact, once I finished Rising Tide, I realized there was more to the story.
While Rising Tide follows along the theme of the Great Flood, the story line is unique. There is good and evil and a primary male/female role, but their story is not the Adam and Eve story of the Bible. Ben and Eve are the central characters but they are not alone in the "garden." They learn from a very wise soul about themselves and their future. It was interesting to watch their discovery and to see how their surroundings influenced them. I don't want to give the story away so I'll leave it at that but I think you'll find it interesting.

You may be wondering when Rising Tide will actually be published. Well here is where I am in that process. The publisher, Tate Publishing, is in the process of completing the layout. I saw the back jacket details yesterday and signed off on them. I believe I am also supposed to be seeing the first draft of the book trailer in a few weeks. By the first of December, I should have a printed, bound copy of a book to review. Once I've had a chance to read through it to make sure all is well, I give the green light and it goes to print. I don't think it will be ready by Christmas but it should be available after the first of the year.
Tate Publishing has been great to work with. I also like the fact that they are a Christian Publishing firm. They have been very responsive to my questions and very supportive. I feel blessed by God that Tate saw potential in my writing and wished to print Rising Tide. I just hope the book sells well and the drafts I am working on now for the sequels will be published as well.

I saw the first version of the trailer this week. It still needs a little work but it should be ready by next week. Once I have a copy, I'll post it to this website so you can see it as well. Hope you'll come back and take a look.

I have now finished the first draft of Eden's Wake, the sequel to Rising Tide. As of right now, I have not gone back through it to do any edits so there is still a lot more to be done before I submit it for consideration to the publisher.
It seems that Ben' story just keeps moving on. I have actually begun the third book in the series (as yet untitled) and am excited about the direction it seems to be going.
On a personal note, I have also started writing an account of my history related to MS, how it developed and when it was diagnosed. I am amazed as to how God has surrounded me with just the right resources and encouragement from so many people along the way. He always seemed to know what I needed before I actually needed it; especially how he brought my wife into my life. I have barely gotten started on this one but I expect that God will use the opportunity of my writing about my experience to bless me with new insights into His perfect plan.

I have submitted final edits for the proof of the book. Once those changes have been made, the book will be in publication. The next phase is establishing a marketing plan which I expect I will start working with Tate on the first part of January. Look for the book to go on sale probably in mid-February if all goes according to plan!

Things are moving right along now toward distribution of the book. All final proofs have been approved and it's at production. I will have advance copies I can sign and sell before the general release date on April 28. Copies can also be ordered now directly from Tate Publishing's website. Wholesale distributors and retail stores can place orders after April 28. If you know of a location that would lend itself to a book signing, let me know where and who to contact. Thanks for your continued interest in Rising Tide.
